Vumba Botanical Gardens and Bunga Forest:
Perched near the edge of a 1000m drop overlooking Mozambique and Lake Chicamba Real, the Vumba Botanical Gardens are a sanctuary for thousands of flowering plants, including such species as azaleas, fuchsias, hydrangeas, cycads, orchids and countless other exotic and indigenous flowers, trees and plants.

Chimanimani National Park:
The formidable mountain wall opposite Chimanimani village is the heart of Chimanimani National Park, a wilderness wonderland of steep sand stone peaks and towers, clear rivers, savanna valleys and forests of stone columns.

Mutare Museum:
A very well-mounted conglomeration of exhibits - geology, history, anthropology, technology, zoology and the arts. There's even a snake collection and a series of dioramas of Manicaland landscapes and wildlife.

Honde Valley:
The picturesque Honde Valley sits vunerably estranged from the rest of Zimbabwe by the Nyanga basin, a world apart from the cool highlands immediately west, is ideal for growing coffee, tea and tropical fruit.

Nyanga National Park:
There's a sandy beach, unofficially known as Brighton Beach, a green lawn, changing rooms and bilharzia-free swimming for anyone prepared to brave the chill mountain water.
